IDI offers on and off-site custom training programs geared towards international development practitioners. Drawing from Humber’s broad range of expertise, training is tailored to an organization’s needs and led by instructors who bring front-line knowledge into the classroom.
Monitoring and Evaluation
This course was open to the general public and provided an overview of the practice of M & E. Through a series of modules, it introduced a tool-box of techniques and shows where these can be best applied using practical strategies and case studies. The course presented M&E as critical and integral to all stages of a policy, project or program’s development. It explained how M&E makes contributions to monitoring performance, results and measure performance.
Management and Operationalization Development of Science Techno Parks
Humber’s International Development Institute (IDI) hosted a two-week training and applied learning program on Management and Operationalization Development of Science Techno Parks (STP) for a delegation of the Indonesian Directorate of Science and Technology; Ministry of Research Technology and Higher Education (MoRTHE). There were a total of seven participants, comprising STP Directors and Managers and Managers of STP Development Section (Government representatives).
The first week of the training took place at Humber. The second week of the training comprised industrial visits with hands-on practice for applied methods. These visits helped participants learn more about the operation and management of techno parks, the policies around it, techno parks institutional and business model, and the relevance of identifying stakeholders throughout the planning and management process.
